Mike (aka Deb G) is visiting from SF this weekend. While I wanted to hit my fave Happy Hour at Eleven Bar last night, it was closed for a party so we had to take in libations at Fiesta. Over our Chicken Nachos, as he always does, he created a game: Your Best Friend Celebrity List. Who would you want to be your celebrity best friend - not for the perks but just because you want them to be in your life because they NEED you and you NEED them.... Pick 3 ladies and one straight guy who is really cool with you but one day you get that fantasy-come-to-life make-out session. His choices: Alicia Keys (shocker), Parker Posey, Jean Smart (because you should chose 1 'senior' for life advice) - and his guy: Eric Bana. WOW! Mine: Jennifer Gardner-Affleck, Natalie Maines-Pasdar (pictured), Streisand (shocker, I know - but I didn't say Cher!?) -- and James Marsden.SNL is back! And Amy Pohler is everything. I can't wait for her feature film with Tina Fey, "Baby Mama." I mean, c'mon!? And I'm a #1 Carrie Underwood fan, but she needs a stage-coach fast! Not the horse & wagon, but someone to teach her how to work it better. She was holding onto that mic stand for dear life on both of her tunes. Kick it up, Carrie!
Proving I'll basically see any film, we're off to "Definitely Maybe."

Here is how my celebrity best friend day would play out:
- 8:00 a.m. Meet Parker for power smoothies at Jamba and then take a hike up Runyon Canyon. We spend the hike spewing hateful gossip about Mischa Barton and Tori Spelling (all while keeping the butt tight) and have a great time.
- 12:00 noon Attend a workshop at the Lee Strassberg acting school with Jean S. that is being given by Loretta Swit. It's pretty interesting... and Jean is a good friend of Loretta's so we HAVE to go. We have a bite to eat at the California Chicken Cafe and Jean barks at a fan asking for an autograph. She makes the fan cry.
- 3:00 p.m. Drop by the studio to see Alicia. Every time she sees me she tears up a bit because she is so grateful that I'm in her life (she tells me this ALL the time). She runs a chorus of a song she's working on by me.... the song is about our friendship.... and of course, it's terrific.
- 7:00 p.m. Dinner at the Bana's. Eric's wife Hannah is lovely, but she seems really suspicious of me lately. Once she walked in on Eric and I wrestling down in his home gym (and Eric happened to have his shirt off). Ever since she's been a little anxious and unsettled when I come over.
It's been a great day.... I love my best friends.
